Global Institute of Technology invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Data Science. The successful candidate will deliver undergraduate and graduate courses, contribute to curriculum development, supervise capstone projects, and collaborate with industry partners to provide a dynamic, hands-on learning experience.
Responsibility
- Deliver engaging lectures and lead seminars for undergraduate and graduate students in Data Science.
- Design, update, and align course syllabi, assessments, and learning outcomes with program goals.
- Supervise capstone projects and theses; provide timely feedback and mentorship.
- Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to enhance interdisciplinary data science education.
- Develop and integrate experiential learning, industry partnerships, and real-world datasets.
- Contribute to program assessment, accreditation, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support inclusive teaching practices and serve as a resource for a diverse student body.
- Participate in grant proposals, scholarly activity, and service on committees as appropriate.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field; PhD preferred.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching with evidence (evaluations, peer reviews, teaching portfolios).
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience or professional practice in data science, ML, or analytics.
- Proficiency with Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills; ability to engage diverse learners.
- Experience with curriculum design, assessment, and outcome-based education.
- Commitment to inclusive pedagogy, accessibility, and student success.
- Eligibility to work in the United States and willingness to contribute to a research-aligned teaching culture.
