Responsibility
- Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in Data Science, Machine Learning, and related topics.
- Design, update, and assess curricula and learning outcomes to align with accreditation standards.
- Develop and supervise capstone projects and student research initiatives.
- Employ inclusive teaching practices and support diverse learner needs.
- Collaborate with faculty on research, funded projects, and curriculum development.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and fair assessment of student work.
- Engage in service to the department, university, and community; participate in program reviews and accreditation activities.
Qualification
- PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; or a Master's degree with significant teaching experience and industry practice.
- Minimum 3 years of higher-education teaching experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools; familiarity with ML frameworks.
- Experience delivering online, hybrid, and in-person courses using LMS (Moodle, Canvas, or Blackboard).
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to inclusive teaching, equity, and student success for a diverse student body.
- Scholarly activity or professional experience with a track record of impact (publications, presentations, or industry contributions).
