Beaconwood University seeks a dynamic Lecturer in Data Science to join our Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science. This full-time position emphasizes excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and student mentorship in a growing data-driven program.

Responsibility
- Deliver engaging lectures for undergraduate and graduate data science courses using a variety of active-learning methods.
- Develop and continuously update course syllabi, learning objectives, assessments, and rubrics to align with program goals.
- Supervise student capstone projects and theses; collaborate with faculty on research initiatives and grant proposals.
- Design and implement inclusive teaching practices and accessible learning experiences for diverse student populations.
- Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate grade records in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Advise and mentor students, supporting academic planning, internships, and career development.
- Collaborate with industry partners for guest lectures, internships, and curriculum feedback to ensure industry relevance.
- Participate in program assessment, accreditation activities, and campus service roles as a contributing team member.
Qualification
- Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and classroom management; at least 2 years of higher education teaching preferred.
- Proficient with data science tooling (Python, R, SQL, ML libraries), Jupyter notebooks, and data visualization tools.
- Experience designing and delivering online and in-person courses; familiarity with LMS platforms (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills with a student-centered approach.
- Active engagement in scholarly activity, industry partnerships, or applied research; willingness to contribute to service obligations.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and outreach.
- Eligibility to work in the United States; willingness to relocate to the Boston area if applicable.
