We are seeking a dynamic Philosophy Lecturer to join the Cambridge Institute of Philosophy, a leading center for ethical inquiry, logic, and critical thought.
In this full-time role, you will design and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in departmental seminars and research projects.

Responsibility
- Deliver engaging undergraduate and graduate courses in philosophy, with emphasis on ethics, logic, and contemporary thought.
- Design course curricula, assessments, and innovative teaching methods.
- Provide mentorship and academic advising to students and supervise theses and capstone projects.
- Conduct original research in philosophy and contribute to departmental seminars and conferences.
- Collaborate with colleagues on program development, student equity initiatives, and public philosophy outreach.
- Contribute to grant writing and research funding applications where applicable.
- Engage with the broader community through public lectures and workshops.
Qualification
- PhD in Philosophy or a closely related field (or evidence of equivalent scholarly achievement).
- Demonstrated excellence in university teaching and course development.
- Strong publication record and ongoing research agenda.
- Experience mentoring diverse student populations and commitment to inclusive pedagogy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex ideas clearly.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and online course design.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary department.
- Commitment to public philosophy and community engagement.
