Responsibility
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in theology and religious studies with a focus on critical engagement and inclusive pedagogy.
- Develop, review, and update course syllabi and assessments to align with program learning outcomes.
- Advise students, supervise independent study and capstone projects, and mentor emerging scholars.
- Maintain an active research agenda and publish in peer-reviewed journals or reputable venues.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design, program assessment, and accreditation activities.
- Engage with local faith communities and interfaith initiatives to enrich classroom learning and public scholarship.
- Contribute to service and governance through department, school, and university committees.
Qualification
- PhD in Theology or related field; or an ABD with clearly defined plan and expected completion timeline.
- Strong teaching experience across undergraduate and graduate courses; commitment to excellent pedagogy and student mentorship.
- Demonstrated scholarly output and a developing or established research agenda in theology or religious studies.
- Ability to teach diverse student populations; experience with online or hybrid instruction is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; effective public speaking and presentation abilities.
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and contributing to curriculum development and assessment.
