Responsibility
- Deliver undergraduate and graduate theology courses, including systematic theology, biblical interpretation, church history, and ethics.
- Design and update curricula to reflect contemporary scholarship and pedagogical best practices.
- Supervise student research, theses, and internships; provide mentoring and career guidance.
- Engage in ongoing scholarly research, publish in peer-reviewed venues, and present at conferences.
- Contribute to assessment, accreditation, and program development within the department.
- Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to create interdisciplinary courses and community outreach programs.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles and backgrounds.
- Engage with local faith communities to enrich the student learning experience and practical ministry opportunities.
Qualification
- PhD or ABD in Theology, Religious Studies, or a closely related field; demonstrated potential for an active research program.
- Proven teaching excellence with a track record of student mentorship and effective classroom management.
- Strong publication record and clear research agenda in areas such as biblical studies, systematic theology, church history, or ethics.
- Ability to teach core theological methods and adapt to online and hybrid learning environments.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; capacity to collaborate across departments and institutions.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, research, and service.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Experience with curriculum development and program assessment is preferred.
