As a Legal Consultant, you will translate law into practical solutions, draft and review complex agreements, perform due diligence, and provide risk assessment to executives. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor with strong communication and client-facing skills.
Responsibility
- Provide strategic legal guidance to clients on regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and contract governance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including NDAs, MSAs, licensing, and vendor contracts.
- Conduct due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and investments; identify legal and reputational risks.
- Analyze regulatory developments and translate implications into actionable client recommendations.
- Support litigation readiness and coordinate with external counsel where needed.
- Develop and deliver training and policy documentation to clients' internal teams.
- Manage multiple client engagements with strict timelines and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align legal strategy with business objectives.
Qualification
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution; active bar admission in New York or eligible for admission.
- 5+ years of experience in legal consulting, corporate law, or regulatory compliance.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and contract management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business guidance.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship management abilities.
- Experience with due diligence, risk assessment, and regulatory risk frameworks.
- Capability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and standard office software; project management experience is a plus.
