We are expanding our NYC team and seeking a Senior Legal Consultant to provide external regulatory and transactional guidance across multiple industries. This role blends high-impact advisory work with hands-on contract analysis, policy design, and risk management.
Based in New York City with hybrid options, you will partner with clients to interpret complex regulations, draft and negotiate agreements, conduct due diligence, and lead project teams to deliver practical, actionable solutions.

Responsibility
- Provide strategic regulatory and compliance advisement for corporate clients across sectors, including risk assessments and remediation plans.
- Review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, licenses, and vendor agreements with a focus on business terms and risk allocation.
- Lead due diligence efforts for M&A and financing transactions, coordinating cross-functional teams and reporting findings to stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal policies, controls, and training programs to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Interpret evolving statutes and agency guidance (e.g., securities, privacy, antitrust) and translate into actionable client recommendations.
- Counsel clients on governance, data privacy, and ethics programs; advise on incident response and regulatory inquiries.
- Manage client engagements, cultivate deep relationships, and deliver high-quality work on tight deadlines.
Qualification
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar license in New York or eligible to practice in NY.
- Minimum 5-7 years of legal consulting or in-house corporate experience focused on contract law, compliance, and regulatory affairs.
- Strong knowledge of US regulatory frameworks (SEC/FINRA, antitrust, privacy, employment), with experience in risk assessment and enforcement mitigation.
- Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills; proven ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated project leadership, client management, and ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Proficiency with legal research tools, contract management systems, and data privacy technologies; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, judgment, and ethical standards; ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
