We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Legal Consultant to join our premier advisory practice in New York. You will collaborate with multinational clients on regulatory strategy, risk assessment, contract governance, data privacy, and compliance readiness.
As a trusted advisor, you will translate complex legal concepts into actionable business guidance, preparing concise advisory memos and trainings for diverse stakeholders.
Responsibility
- Lead regulatory risk assessments and compliance gap analyses for clients across industries
- Advise on contract governance, licensing, anti corruption controls, and third party risk
- Draft advisory memos, policies, training materials, and governance frameworks
- Provide strategic input on transactions from a legal and compliance perspective
- Present findings and recommendations to C-suite and boards
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and IT teams to implement remediation plans
- Mentor and coach junior consultants to build high-performing teams
Qualification
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree; active New York bar admission
- Minimum 5-7 years of legal consulting, regulatory affairs, or in-house advisory experience
- Strong knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, FCPA, AML, and antitrust regimes
- Proven ability to translate complex legal concepts into business-friendly guidance; excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience drafting memos, policies, training programs, and client-ready materials
- Demonstrated project management and client-facing skills; ability to manage multiple engagements
- Proficiency with legal research, data privacy tools, and interactive advisory work
