As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care; support natural birth processes, manage complications when necessary, and empower families through education and informed decision making. You will document care in our EMR, participate in continuous quality improvement, and advocate for optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns.

Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care; support birth planning and pain management options.
- Monitor fetal well-being, labor progress, and maternal health; develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Support labor and birth with evidence-based practices, advocating for patient autonomy and informed decision making.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, pediatricians, and social workers to coordinate care and referrals.
- Perform newborn assessment, coordinate immediate postpartum care, and provide lactation support.
- Document care accurately in EMR and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and privacy laws.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development to advance practice.
Qualification
- Active CNM or CPM certification with current Washington licensure or eligibility.
- Minimum 3 years of direct midwifery experience across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum settings.
- Proven ability to manage low- and high-risk pregnancies and emergency situations with composure and decisiveness.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based guidelines, patient safety, and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent communication, empathy, cultural sensitivity, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and care coordination.
- Current BLS/ACLS certification and professional liability insurance.
