Join our compassionate team at Northwest Family Midwifery Collective, a patient-centered practice located in Portland, Oregon. We are seeking a Licensed Midwife to provide comprehensive obstetric care before, during, and after birth.
As a full-time Licensed Midwife, you will collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and doulas to deliver evidence-based care in a supportive environment. Our clinic emphasizes personalized maternity care, family involvement, and community health.

Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to diverse clientele.
- Develop and implement individualized birth plans based on patient values and clinical guidelines.
- Offer skilled intrapartum support, monitor labor progress, and ensure safe birth outcomes.
- Provide postpartum follow-up, lactation support, and newborn care education.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to coordinate high-quality care.
- Maintain precise, compliant charting in electronic medical records and ensure safety standards.
- Educate patients on healthy pregnancy, delivery options, and informed decision-making with cultural sensitivity.
- Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote maternal health and wellness.
Qualification
- Active Oregon licensure as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) or Certified Midwife (CM); eligible for licensure if currently licensed in another state.
- Master's degree in Nursing with CNM track or Master of Science in Midwifery; valid, unrestricted license to practice in Oregon.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical midwifery experience with low-risk and complex cases.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based maternity care guidelines (ACOG, ACOG practice bulletins, AWHONN).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills; demonstrated patient advocacy.
- Ability to provide birth center and outpatient care in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary setting.
- BLS/ACLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required; ongoing professional development supported.
- English proficiency; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
