As a Pharmacist, you will partner with healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective medication use, counsel patients on therapy plans, review prescriptions for quality and safety, and safeguard regulatory compliance across dispensing and medication management processes.
Responsibility
- Lead dispensing accuracy, verification, and quality assurance to ensure patient safety.
- Provide patient counseling on medications, dosing, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Conduct comprehensive medication therapy management for high-risk patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to optimize therapy outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and controlled substances guidelines.
- Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, including workflow optimization and adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain inventory accuracy, perform ongoing stock control, and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff; participate in onboarding and continuing education.
Qualification
- PharmD degree from an accredited program and active Pharmacist license in Washington State or eligible for licensure.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical or community pharmacy experience with proven dispensing accuracy.
- Current knowledge of medication therapy management and drug interactions.
- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills; empathetic and service-oriented.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and pharmacy management systems; data entry accuracy.
- Strong regulatory knowledge including state and federal laws, HIPAA, and controlled substances handling.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and mentor junior staff.
- Detail oriented with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
