Job description
Private Advertiser is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to support lift planning and AutoCAD documentation for crane-related projects. This paid internship offers a hands-on, mentor-guided experience designed to kick-start a career in structural and construction engineering. You will contribute to safe, efficient lifting operations by assisting with planning, risk assessment, and the generation of technical drawings and reports necessary for tender documentation and site execution.
In this role, you will work alongside senior engineers to develop lifting plans that consider crane capacity, load paths, and site constraints. You will support AutoCAD-based drafting and modification of 2D drawings and technical sheets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with applicable standards and client specifications. You will also help prepare load calculations, rigging details, and equipment lists, while maintaining project documentation and version control.
Through hands-on activities, you'll gain exposure to crane safety practices, risk assessment methodologies, and coordination with procurement, site teams, and project management. This internship emphasizes practical problem-solving, attention to detail, and clear communication to support successful project outcomes. The program is tailored to students or recent graduates pursuing a career in engineering disciplines related to lifting operations, construction, or industrial equipment.
