Join GlobalLex Translations as a Localization Translator and help global brands communicate with clarity and cultural relevance. This full-time role is based in New York and offers the opportunity to work across dynamic industries, from tech to commerce.
You will translate high-quality content from English into multiple target languages (e.g., Spanish, French, German) and ensure voice, tone, and style remain consistent with brand guidelines.
What you'll do
- Translate content from English into target languages with accuracy and natural, native-like fluency.
- Review and edit translations for grammar, terminology, style, and consistency.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and legal teams to ensure brand voice and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and maintain glossaries and terminology databases to support consistency across projects.
- Leverage CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, memoQ) to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Support localization project planning, estimation, and QA processes.
- Mentor junior translators and contribute to process improvements.
Who you are
- Proven experience as a translator or localization specialist with a strong portfolio.
- Native or professional-level proficiency in English and at least one major target language (Spanish, French, or German).
- Excellent editing, proofreading, and terminology management skills.
- Experience with CAT tools, translation memory, and glossary management.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
