Global Freight Solutions is seeking a results-driven Logistics Coordinator to join our Chicago team. You will oversee daily transport operations, coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, and collaborate with carriers, warehouses, and customers to ensure a seamless delivery experience. Responsibility
- Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and accuracy.
- Manage carrier relationships, rate negotiation, tendering, and performance monitoring in the TMS.
- Monitor inventory levels, support cycle counts, and optimize warehouse routing.
- Plan and optimize routes and schedules to reduce transit times and transportation costs.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, safety policies, and proper documentation for shipments.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and operations to resolve issues and improve service levels.
- Track and report KPIs, prepare performance dashboards for management.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency with TMS/WMS systems; SAP or Oracle experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization and reporting.
- Knowledge of import/export procedures and regulatory compliance for U.S. operations.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
