BlueHarbor Logistics is seeking a dynamic Senior Shipping Operations Manager to lead our regional shipping operations in Singapore. You will optimize end-to-end cargo flows, oversee carrier relationships, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on optimization in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
As a key member of the Logistics leadership team, you will drive performance across import/export, ocean and air freight, customs clearance, and documentation, ensuring on-time delivery and cost efficiency for a diverse portfolio of clients.
Responsibility
- Oversee end-to-end shipping operations for regional and international lanes, ensuring on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
- Manage carrier selection, rate negotiation, contract compliance, and performance monitoring.
- Lead customs clearance coordination with brokers and authorities to minimize delays and ensure compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement using data analytics to optimize routing, consolidation, and inventory positioning.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures, KPIs, and dashboards for supply chain visibility.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across sales, procurement, warehouse, and IT to align shipping activities with business goals.
- Ensure adherence to safety, security, and regulatory requirements including trade sanctions and export controls.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of shipping/logistics operations experience, with exposure to ocean and air freight, import/export, and customs.
- Proven track record in carrier management, cost optimization, and vendor performance.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in ERP/TMS/WMS systems and data visualization; proficiency in SQL is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills to lead cross-functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of Singapore port operations, customs, and trade compliance; eligible to work in Singapore.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CSCP, or import/export compliance are a plus.
