Job description
GlobalBridge Logistics is seeking a hands-on Logistics Coordinator to optimize our transportation and warehouse operations in Chicago. You will collaborate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
In this role, you'll manage day-to-day logistics, monitor key performance indicators, and drive improvements across the supply chain.
Responsibility
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including load planning and carrier selection.
- Manage routing, dispatch, and transit tracking to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouses to optimize stock availability.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and customer service to resolve orders and exceptions.
- Analyze transport costs, negotiate with carriers, and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
- Maintain accurate data in ERP/WMS systems and generate performance reports.
- Lead continuous improvement projects in logistics processes and safety compliance.
- Assist in preparing monthly logistics metrics and budgets.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field; or 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in transportation management, warehouse operations, and inventory control.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with ERP/WMS (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and travel as needed (up to 10%).
- Knowledge of customs, import/export procedures, and regulatory compliance is a plus.
- Lean or Six Sigma exposure is a bonus.
- Fluency in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
