Join GlobalPort Logistics, a leading shipping and freight forwarding company, as a Shipping Operations Specialist in Singapore. You will coordinate end-to-end cargo movements, ensure on-time delivery, and optimize operational efficiency across ocean and air freight channels. Responsibility
- Coordinate daily shipping operations across ocean and air freight, including scheduling, documentation, tracking, and exception management.
- Negotiate rates and secure capacity with carriers, while optimizing transit times and service levels.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade controls, and accurate export/import documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin).
- Monitor and improve KPIs such as on-time delivery, transit times, and damage rate; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to deliver exceptional end-to-end customer experiences.
- Maintain data integrity in TMS/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and generate actionable reports for stakeholders.
- Support process improvements, system enhancements, and standard operating procedures related to shipping operations.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or customs clearance.
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, import/export regulations, and customs clearance processes.
- Proficiency with TMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vLookup, dashboards).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and coordinate across time zones.
- Demonstrated analytical mindset with attention to detail and data-driven decision making.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CILT, FIATA, CIFFA) are a plus.
