Global Freight Solutions seeks a results-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our Chicago team. You will orchestrate daily transportation operations, collaborate with carriers, and ensure on-time delivery while optimizing costs.

Responsibility
- Coordinate daily transportation planning and execution across carriers to meet service levels and deadlines.
- Monitor and optimize routes, loads, and freight costs; analyze transit times and exceptions.
- Manage carrier relationships, contracts, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with warehousing, inventory, and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Track shipments, update systems (WMS/ERP), and provide proactive exception management.
- Prepare and analyze reports on KPI performance and process improvements.
- Support audit and compliance activities, ensuring safety and regulatory adherence.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field; 2+ years logistics experience.
- Proven experience in transportation planning and carrier management.
- Proficiency with WMS and TMS systems; ERP experience (SAP, Oracle) preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and Excel expertise; ability to analyze data and generate insights.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented problem solver with strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and compliance standards in logistics.
