Join Global Freight Solutions, a leading logistics provider, as a Logistics Manager in Chicago. You will own end to end logistics operations, shaping a high performance supply chain that delivers on time, every time.
We are seeking a strategic and hands on leader who can drive network optimization, maintain superior service levels, and empower a team of coordinators to exceed efficiency targets. You will collaborate with warehousing, transportation, IT, and finance to design scalable processes and systems that support growth.
Responsibility
- Lead end to end logistics operations covering inbound, outbound, warehousing, and distribution to meet service levels
- Design and optimize transport networks, carrier selection, and route planning to reduce cost per unit
- Oversee warehouse processes, inventory control, cycle counting, and adherence to safety standards
- Partner with IT to implement and optimize TMS and WMS integration with ERP systems
- Set and monitor KPIs, develop dashboards, and drive data informed continuous improvement
- Manage a team of logistics coordinators, assign priorities, coach performance, and foster development
- Ensure regulatory and compliance standards including safety, customs where applicable
Qualification
- Bachelors degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field
- 5 plus years of logistics or supply chain experience with leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of TMS and WMS, SAP or Oracle, and data analytics tools
- Demonstrated success in cost to serve optimization and process improvement
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills
- Ability to work cross functionally with operations, finance, and sales teams
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization for performance monitoring
