Job description
Join a fast-growing logistics network at Atlas Freight Solutions as a Logistics Operations Manager based in Houston, TX. You will lead cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery, optimize warehouse workflows, and implement continuous improvement initiatives across our distribution network.
In this pivotal role, you’ll partner with carriers, 3PLs, and internal stakeholders to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end logistics operations for a multi-site distribution network, including inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics.
- Develop and implement SOPs for warehousing, inventory control, and transportation planning.
- Analyze performance metrics (OTIF, fill rate, on-time in-full) and drive data-informed improvements.
- Collaborate with carriers, 3PLs, and internal departments to optimize routing, reduce freight costs, and improve service levels.
- Oversee warehouse staffing, safety programs, training, and adherence to OSHA standards.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives; drive continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with customs, import/export regulations, and company policies; manage risk and audit readiness.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field.
- 5+ years in logistics or supply chain, with 2+ years in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of WMS (e.g., SAP EWM, Oracle WMS) and TMS systems.
- Proven track record reducing transportation costs and improving OTIF/performance.
- Excellent analytical skills, advanced Excel; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities; capable of influencing cross-functional teams.
- Experience with lean warehousing, cross-docking, or automated storage systems is a plus.
