Join Nexus Freight Solutions as a Logistics Operations Manager in Chicago. This role leads end-to-end logistics operations, overseeing inbound and outbound activities, warehousing, and transportation partnerships to ensure on-time delivery and cost-efficient service.

Responsibility
- Lead daily logistics operations across inbound, outbound, warehousing, and transportation to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries.
- Optimize transportation networks and route planning to reduce cost and improve service levels.
- Manage carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Develop and monitor KPIs (OTIF, inventory accuracy, order cycle time, dock-to-stock) and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with procurement, IT, and warehouse teams; implement process improvements and WMS enhancements.
- Manage budgets, headcount planning, and vendor performance; forecast labor and equipment needs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices for cross-border or domestic shipments as applicable.
Qualification
- Bachelorâs degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field; or 5+ years of relevant logistics experience.
- 5+ years in a supervisory or managerial role within logistics, distribution, or warehousing.
- Strong knowledge of WMS and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Manhattan Associates).
- Proficiency in data analysis and advanced Excel; experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of safety, DOT regulations, and inventory control; experience with international shipping is a plus.
