Responsibility
- Lead daily logistics operations across warehousing, transportation, and distribution to meet service level agreements and customer expectations.
- Analyze routes, scheduling, and carrier performance; drive cost optimization and on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with procurement, inventory, IT, and customer service to synchronize demand planning and replenishment.
- Manage staffing, training, safety compliance, and performance evaluations for operations teams.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven decision making with WMS/TMS systems.
- Prepare and present operational metrics, budgets, and risk assessments to senior leadership.
- Oversee vendor and carrier relationships, contract governance, and service level adherence.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years in logistics or distribution operations with at least 2 years in leadership or supervisory roles.
- Strong proficiency with WMS (e.g., SAP EWM/WMS), TMS, and ERP systems; data analytics experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
- Demonstrated Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement track record.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA) and inventory control best practices.
