Atlas Freight Solutions, a leading full-service logistics partner, is looking for a results-driven Logistics Operations Manager to oversee warehouse, transportation, and inventory activities in the New York metropolitan area. This is a hands-on leadership role designed for a data-informed professional who can translate analytics into actionable improvements.

Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end logistics operations across warehousing, inbound/outbound transportation, and inventory control to ensure on-time, accurate order fulfillment.
- Develop and monitor KPIs (OTD, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, cost per shipment) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Optimize carrier mix, negotiate rates, and manage 3PL relationships to reduce total landed cost while maintaining service levels.
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, staffing, safety, and compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations.
- Implement and optimize warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and ERP integrations; leverage data analytics to improve throughput.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Sales to align demand planning, forecasts, and capacity for peak periods.
- Lead process standardization, Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, and project management for cross-functional initiatives.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing logistics team; present regular performance updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics, warehouse, and transportation management; experience in a multi-site operation preferred.
- Strong knowledge of WMS, TMS, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle); excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with carriers and 3PLs.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is preferred.
