Join GlobalFlow Logistics as a Logistics Operations Manager in Chicago. You will lead cross-functional teams to optimize warehousing, transportation, and order fulfillment to ensure exceptional service levels and cost efficiency. This is a strategic, data-driven role that combines process improvement with hands-on execution.
About the role: you will own end-to-end logistics operations, partner with carriers and 3PLs, and drive continuous improvements to achieve on-time delivery, accurate inventory, and high customer satisfaction.
Responsibility
- Oversee end-to-end logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, warehousing, and distribution.
- Develop and monitor KPIs such as OTIF, on-time delivery, order accuracy, and inventory accuracy.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and data analytics to reduce lead times and costs.
- Negotiate rates and service levels with carriers and 3PLs; manage contracts and performance reviews.
- Implement and optimize WMS and ERP processes to ensure accurate data, cycle counts, and inventory control.
- Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, and Finance to align supply chain strategies with business goals.
- Build and mentor a high-performance logistics team; recruit, train, and develop staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics management, warehouse operations, or supply chain roles.
- Strong experience with WMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Oracle NetSuite) and data analytics tools.
- Proven track record of improving OTIF, inventory accuracy, and cost-to-serve.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Data-driven with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or business intelligence tools.
- CPIM/CSCP or PMP certification preferred; willingness to pursue professional certifications.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
