Job description
BlueRiver Logistics is seeking a proactive Logistics Operations Specialist to optimize daily shipments, coordinate carrier partnerships, and ensure on-time delivery for our growing client base. This role blends analysis with hands-on process improvements to drive service levels and cost efficiency across freight, warehousing, and reverse logistics.
You will partner with procurement, warehouse operations, and transportation teams to implement best practices, maintain data accuracy, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibility
- Coordinate and monitor daily inbound and outbound shipments across multiple modes including road, rail, air, and ocean.
- Collaborate with carriers, 3PLs, and warehouse teams to optimize routing, load planning, and on-time performance.
- Maintain accurate and timely data in WMS and ERP systems; generate performance metrics and reports.
- Support inventory control, cycle counts, and warehouse inbound receiving processes.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce transit times and logistics costs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards across all operations.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field; or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of logistics or supply chain operations experience
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP/SAP or similar systems
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Proven track record of improving delivery performance and cost optimization
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
