Join Aegis Defense Systems as a Logistics Specialist supporting military base operations at Quantico, VA. This role ensures seamless movement of materials, equipment, and critical assets across the base and contracted partners. You will manage end-to-end supply chain processes, coordinate transportation, maintain precise inventory records, and uphold the highest standards of security and safety in a fast paced defense environment.
As part of our mission to enable readiness, you will collaborate with military personnel, contractors, and logistics teams to deliver timely, compliant, and cost-effective solutions that meet DoD requirements.
Responsibility
- Plan, execute and track end-to-end logistics for base operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, warehousing, and last-mile delivery.
- Maintain accurate inventory and asset records using ERP systems; target accuracy above 99% and perform regular audits.
- Coordinate with security, safety, and compliance teams to ensure all operations meet DoD and base protocols.
- Optimize transportation routes and modes to meet tight deadlines while controlling costs and risk.
- Lead a small team of logistics technicians, provide mentorship, training, and performance feedback.
- Generate operational reports, analyze performance metrics, and drive continuous improvements in efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare and review standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field; or equivalent military experience and training.
- Minimum of 3 years of logistics, supply chain, or materials management experience; military logistics experience preferred.
- Familiarity with DoD supply chain procedures and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service abilities; ability to operate in a cross-functional environment.
- U.S. citizenship and eligible for DoD security clearance; active clearance is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work in a fast-paced, secure environment.
