Aim Recruit is partnering with a reputable construction firm to hire an M&E Project Manager / Electrical Engineer / Mechanical Engineer for opportunities in the Central Region of Singapore. In this combined role, you will oversee mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems on high-profile projects from design through commissioning and handover. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, coordinate with clients and consultants, and ensure solutions meet performance, safety and regulatory standards.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets; managing procurement, submittals and change orders; and driving value engineering while preserving quality. You will monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Your strong communication and leadership will keep stakeholders aligned and informed, from contractors to end users.
We expect hands-on technical depth in electrical and mechanical disciplines, a solid grasp of Singapore codes and safety requirements, and a track record of delivering M&E packages on time and within budget. Experience with BIM tools, design coordination, and commissioning planning will set you apart. Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end management of M&E projects in the Central Region, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, cost estimates, procurement strategies, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure design, installation, testing and commissioning meet specifications.
- Review M&E design data, drawings, and specifications for constructability and compliance with Singapore codes and standards.
- Oversee procurement, submittals, RFI processing, change orders, and variation control; monitor impact on schedule and budget.
- Supervise site activities, QA/QC, safety, commissioning, and handover planning; ensure defects are resolved and documentation complete.
- Manage risk, track progress, prepare progress reports, and communicate with stakeholders; facilitate decisions and issue resolution.
- Lead cross-disciplinary coordination with electrical, mechanical and controls teams; ensure smooth interfaces with structural and architectural works.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of M&E project experience in construction; track record of delivering complex M&E packages.
- Professional engineering accreditation or membership (e.g., PEng/CEng) and/or PMI PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
- Proficiency with design and BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit) and project management software; strong documentation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Singapore codes and standards (BCA, SS, SCDF) and safety/environmental regulations; Green Building certification knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management; fluent in English; able to work cross-functionally.
- Site supervision experience; ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets, and risk; proactive problem solving.
