Advanced Prestige Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Maintenance Engineer to support maintenance and repair operations at our Sabah facilities. This role is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in a dynamic engineering environment while maintaining flexibility in schedule. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers to uphold equipment reliability, safety standards, and operational uptime.
As a Part-Time Maintenance Engineer, you will perform and assist with routine inspections, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and minor repairs. You will help document activities, track maintenance logs, calibrate equipment where appropriate, and ensure work complies with company procedures and safety guidelines. Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with routine preventive maintenance and inspections of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Support troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of faults under supervision.
- Clean, lubricate, calibrate, and test equipment to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report issues to the maintenance supervisor.
- Assist with parts stocking, tool organization, and procurement requests as needed.
- Adhere to safety policies, PPE requirements, and safe work practices at all times.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team during installations, upgrades, and system testing.
Qualifications and attributes include:
- Diploma or certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or Maintenance Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and common hand tools.
- Ability to read manuals, schematics, and simple diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and punctuality in a part-time work arrangement.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior internship, apprenticeship, or part-time experience in a maintenance role is a plus.
