Micron Semiconductors is seeking a seasoned Manager, Electrical, Facilities Engineering to lead critical electrical infrastructure programs at our North Coast site. This role partners with site leadership to ensure electrical systems support high uptime, safety, and manufacturing throughput for advanced semiconductor production. You will drive cross-functional collaboration, manage capital projects from scoping to commissioning, and ensure successful outcomes on schedule and within budget. As the Manager, Electrical, Facilities Engineering, you will own the engineering roadmap for power and electrical systems, including power distribution, electrical rooms, UPS, generator redundancy, and motor control centers. You will mentor a team of engineers and technicians, coordinate with Process, Safety, and Facilities teams, and partner with suppliers and contractors to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will monitor key performance indicators, drive energy efficiency improvements, and implement reliability-centered maintenance practices to maximize uptime and minimize risk.
Responsibility
- Lead and manage electrical infrastructure capital projects for the manufacturing facilities, ensuring alignment with site goals, budgets, and schedules.
- Develop and implement electrical system designs, standards, and commissioning plans for critical manufacturing environments.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams (Electrical, Mechanical, Process, EH&S) to ensure timely deliverables and seamless integration with site operations.
- Oversee project scoping, budgeting, schedule development, risk management, and vendor/contractor management.
- Ensure safety, electrical codes, and quality requirements are met; drive a culture of reliability and uptime.
- Monitor KPIs such as electrical uptime, energy efficiency, and maintenance effectiveness; lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review and approve drawings, specifications, and change orders; provide technical leadership to operations and maintenance teams.
- Mentor and develop site engineers and technicians; build succession plans for critical electrical infrastructure.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field; professional licensure (PE) or project management certification (PMP) is a plus.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in electrical systems design, facilities maintenance, and capital project delivery in manufacturing environments; semiconductor experience is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills with a proven ability to influence at multiple levels.
- Technical expertise in HV/LV power distribution, UPS systems, generators, motor control centers, and electrical safety practices.
- Solid knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEC, NFPA 70) and familiarity with cleanroom and EHS requirements.
- Experience with CAD/BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit) and electrical engineering software (ETAP, SKM); excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Proven vendor management, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities; innovative thinker with a drive for results.
