Pacific Horizon Maritime Solutions Pte. Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Maritime Navigation Specialist to join our Singapore office. The role blends strategic voyage planning, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence to ensure safe and efficient global shipments.
You will collaborate with fleet operations, bridge teams, and port authorities to optimize routes, apply weather routing strategies, and maintain situational awareness using ECDIS, ARPA, and AIS technologies. This role demands strong leadership, precise decision making, and a commitment to the highest safety standards.

Responsibility
- Develop and optimize voyage plans using ECDIS, ARPA, and AIS; monitor weather, currents, and maritime constraints to ensure safe, efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with SOLAS, COLREGs, flag state requirements, and company safety policies; maintain accurate navigational logs and reports.
- Coordinate with fleet operations, bridge teams, and port authorities to ensure smooth port calls and timely arrivals.
- Conduct dynamic risk assessments for routing, weather windows, and berth operations; implement contingency plans for disruptive events.
- Provide real-time navigation support during transits, port calls, and high-traffic routes; monitor vessel performance and make proactive recommendations.
- Lead training and drills for navigational staff on ECDIS, ARPA, AIS, and safety procedures; mentor junior officers and navigators.
- Analyze voyage data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvements in routing efficiency, fuel usage, and safety outcomes.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Navigation, or related field; professional navigator license or equivalent credential (e.g., MPA License, MCA Chief Officer) recognized for international operations.
- Minimum 5 years of sea-going or equivalent maritime experience with proven voyage planning and bridge watch capabilities.
- Strong proficiency with ECDIS, ARPA, AIS, Nav software, and voyage optimization tools; familiarity with weather routing technologies.
- Solid knowledge of SOLAS, COLREGs, STCW, and port state control procedures; ability to implement safety and emergency protocols.
- Excellent decision-making, situational awareness, and communication skills; proven leadership in high-stress environments.
- Fluent in English; ability to work across shifts and coordinate with international teams.
- Willingness to travel for trainings, port calls, and inspections as required.
