Responsibility
- Deliver engaging, standards aligned Mathematics instruction to grades 9–12.
- Plan and implement data informed lesson sequences and assessments.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs, including English learners and students with learning differences.
- Analyze student progress using formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that supports collaboration and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with department colleagues to develop cross curricular projects and standardized curricula.
- Integrate technology and instructional software to enhance learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to student advising and mentoring as needed.
Qualification
- A bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; teaching credential or state license required.
- Minimum 2 years of secondary Mathematics teaching experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Common Core or state standards and assessment alignment.
- Proven classroom management and strategies for differentiated instruction.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues.
- Experience integrating technology (eg, interactive whiteboards, learning management systems) into lessons.
- Commitment to inclusive education and culturally responsive teaching.
- Ability to work a full-time schedule with flexibility for school events as needed.
