ingenium Advance Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Mechanical and Electrical Resident Engineer Inspector Of Work IOW to join our site operations in Selangor. This role provides hands-on supervision of mechanical and electrical installations on high-value projects, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards. You will collaborate with contractors, consultants, and the project team to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget.
As the Mechanical and Electrical Resident Engineer IOW, you will oversee site activities, review technical drawings and installation methods, conduct inspections, and maintain comprehensive site records including daily diaries, nonconformance reports, and progress updates. You will lead QA and QC checks, coordinate testing and commissioning activities, and ensure adherence to statutory requirements and industry best practices.

Responsibility
- Lead on-site supervision of mechanical and electrical works in accordance with contract drawings and specifications.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, submittals, and method statements to support installation planning.
- Perform regular site inspections, monitor progress, and issue site instructions and nonconformance reports as needed.
- Coordinate with contractor, consultant, and project team to resolve technical issues and implement changes.
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, HSE policies, and local regulations throughout construction and commissioning.
- Manage IOW activities, supervise testing and commissioning stages, and verify handover readiness.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, photos, RFI logs, and progress reports.
- Coordinate material deliveries, subcontractors, and interface management to minimize delays.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant site experience in M&E construction, with IOW or equivalent responsibilities preferred.
- Strong knowledge of M&E systems, installation methods, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Proficient in reading drawings, submittals, and contract documents; familiar with QA/QC principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to sites within Selangor and nearby regions; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Professional membership (IEM or equivalent) preferred; professional registration is an advantage.
