Join Private Advertiser as a Mechanical Engineer and play a key role in keeping our operations in San Vicente, Palawan running smoothly. You will oversee motorpool management, preventive maintenance programs, and on-site repairs, ensuring equipment reliability and minimal downtime across our facilities.
As a hands-on engineer, you will plan and execute maintenance activities, inspect mechanical systems, and lead a small team of technicians. Your expertise will help optimize asset performance, reduce operating costs, and support safe, compliant operations in a remote locale.

Responsibility
- Oversee motorpool operations including vehicle allocation, scheduling, and routine service planning to support field activities.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all site equipment and vehicles to maximize uptime.
- Coordinate repairs with technicians, suppliers, and service partners; track work orders and ensure timely completion.
- Monitor equipment performance, analyze maintenance metrics, and optimize energy and resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards; enforce lockout/tagout and other safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance histories, parts usage, and asset condition in the CMMS or similar system.
- Provide technical guidance to operations teams; participate in continuous improvement initiatives and asset lifecycle planning.
- Assist in budget planning for maintenance activities and equipment replacements as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; professional licensure is a plus.
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, asset management, or motorpool oversight.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, fluids, and basic electrical concepts.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics; hands-on problem solving.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork abilities; capable of leading a small team.
- Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards in an industrial environment.
- Willingness to work in Palawan and to travel as needed for site support.
