Responsibility
- Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools and robust engineering practices.
- Lead tolerance studies, perform FEA/CFD as needed, and iterate designs to meet performance and cost targets.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to translate designs into scalable production processes and BOMs.
- Develop and execute verification and validation plans, including testing protocols and data analysis.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and GD&T compliant tolerances.
- Support supplier interactions, materials selection, and component qualification.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and CCA/DFMEA processes to mitigate failures.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Masterβs preferred.
- 3+ years of mechanical design experience in product development or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo) and basic FEA tools; experience with GD&T.
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for reliability.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with design for additive manufacturing or lightweighting is a plus.
