Job description

Join our fast-growing mechanical engineering team focused on delivering high-performance motion control and product development for industrial automation. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead design, analysis, and collaboration across disciplines to bring innovative mechanisms from concept to production. You will apply your expertise in CAD, tolerance analysis, and FEA to optimize performance, cost, and reliability.

We offer a competitive salary, robust benefits, flexible work arrangements, and a culture that values curiosity, ownership, and craftsmanship.

Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end mechanical design of electromechanical assemblies, including materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct FEA, thermal, and modal analyses to validate designs and drive optimization.
  • Develop and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings with GD&T (SolidWorks or Creo).
  • Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.
  • Own design reviews, risk assessments, and design for cost (DFM) and design for test (DFT).
  • Create and manage BOMs, release documentation, and design validation plans.
  • Lead reliability testing, test plans, and root-cause failure analysis.
  • Mentor junior engineers and communicate project status to stakeholders.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years’ mechanical design experience in product development for automation, robotics, or industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks or Creo) and familiarity with FEA tools (Ansys, Abaqus) or built-in solver.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFM/DFT, tolerance analysis, and precision assembly.
  • Experience with thermomechanical analysis, vibration and shock considerations, and reliable testing.
  • Experience with design for manufacturability and design for test (DFM/DFT) methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring abilities; project management experience a plus.
  • Proven track record delivering high-quality mechanical designs on schedule.
