Responsibility

  • Lead mechanical design and analysis of components and systems using CAD and finite element methods.
  • Develop test plans, execute tests, interpret results, and implement design modifications.
  • Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, and procurement teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, specifications, and change requests.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards (ASME, ISO, etc.) and apply GD&T principles.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support manufacturing and supplier development through technical guidance and troubleshooting.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred).
  • 5+ years of mechanical design and analysis experience in relevant industries.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA) and FEA software.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and statistical methods.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, casting, molding) and prototyping.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience with NPD lifecycle, ECR/ECN processes, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for supplier visits and on-site support.
