Join Apex Motion Technologies, a leader in innovative mechanical solutions for the automotive sector. We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze, and bring next-gen systems from concept to production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across design, manufacturing, and supplier networks to deliver reliable, high-performing mechanical assemblies.
In this role, you will own mechanical design workstreams, develop robust test plans, and ensure products meet safety and quality standards. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and design for manufacturability.
Responsibility
- Lead the mechanical design and detail development of automotive subsystems from concept to production release.
- Perform CAD modeling and detailing using SolidWorks or Creo; translate concepts into manufacturable parts and assemblies.
- Plan and execute CAE analyses (FEA/CFD) to optimize performance and reliability.
- Develop and execute robust test plans, qualification methods, and validation protocols for prototypes and production units.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to ensure design for manufacturability and production scalability.
- Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to manage DFMEA, tolerances, and quality documentation.
- Create technical specifications, bill of materials, and design reviews to support product lifecycle management.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience in automotive or heavy machinery sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks or Creo; Autodesk Inventor acceptable).
- Experience with FEA/CFD and design optimization; GD&T proficiency.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (casting, stamping, machining, molding) and tolerance analysis.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- U.S. work authorization; willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
