We are seeking a Medical Science Liaison to join our field-based team in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will build and maintain strategic relationships with key opinion leaders, provide balanced scientific information, and support clinical trial activities.

Responsibility
- Develop and maintain productive, compliant relationships with KOLs and investigators in specialized medicine and rare diseases.
- Disseminate accurate, balanced scientific data to clinicians, researchers, and internal stakeholders, tailoring messages to diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to plan and execute scientifically rigorous activities.
- Support investigator-initiated studies, site qualification, feasibility assessments, and clinical trial recruitment efforts.
- Deliver high-quality medical education programs, slide decks, and scientific presentations for internal teams and external audiences.
- Capture field insights, unmet patient needs, and competitive intelligence to inform R&D strategy and medical planning.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of guidelines, standards of care, and regulatory changes; contribute to abstracts, posters, and manuscripts when appropriate.
Qualification
- Advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, MD) or equivalent clinical and scientific experience.
- Minimum 3 years of medical affairs, MSL, or clinical research experience in rare diseases or specialized medicine.
- Strong therapeutic area knowledge in rare diseases with excellent scientific credibility and therapeutic understanding.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and written skills; ability to simplify complex data for varied audiences.
- Proven ability to build relationships with key opinion leaders and cross-functional teams; strong collaboration skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory, compliance, and ethical guidelines governing MSL activities.
- Ability to travel up to 60-70% as required by field responsibilities.
