Job description
Micron Semiconductors is seeking a highly skilled Member of Technical Staff (MTS) in Singapore to lead wet process development for NAND memory fabrication. The role offers an opportunity to influence cutting-edge memory technology by solving complex chemical challenges and translating lab-scale breakthroughs into high-volume manufacturing.
As the MTS for Wet Process Development, you will own critical wet chemistry processes used in wafer cleaning, surface modification, and etch steps. You will design, execute, and optimize experiments, using DOE and data-driven methods to improve yield, reliability, and process windows. You will collaborate with Process Engineers, Equipment teams, and Yield groups to scale processes from pilot to production, ensuring robust process control and documentation that meets Micron’s quality standards.
We value curiosity, rigor, and teamwork. You will mentor junior engineers, share best practices, and contribute to the development roadmap for wet processing platforms. This is a hands-on role with significant interaction with equipment vendors, fabrication facilities, and cross-functional partners in a fast-paced, global semiconductor company.
Responsibility
- Lead wet process development for NAND memory fabrication, focusing on wet etch, wafer cleaning, and surface modification.
- Design, execute, and analyze DOE experiments; translate results into robust process parameters and improved yield.
- Collaborate with Process Engineering, Equipment, and Yield teams to transfer processes from pilot to production with validated process controls.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, recipes, failure mode effect analyses, and risk assessments for manufacturing readiness.
- Perform root-cause analysis for process anomalies, implement corrective actions, and monitor key process metrics.
- Characterize process windows, process robustness, and contamination control strategies to ensure long-term reliability.
- Mentor and train junior engineers; contribute to technical roadmap and knowledge sharing across the team.
- Engage with equipment vendors and fabrication partners to optimize tooling and maintain process stability.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred; 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience in semiconductor wet chemical processes, especially wet etch, wafer cleaning, and surface modification for NAND memory fabrication.
- Strong proficiency with DOE, statistics, data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Python); ability to translate data into actionable process decisions.
- Experience with process transfer to manufacturing, equipment interfacing, recipe development, and process control documentation.
- Keen understanding of SEMI standards, EHS requirements, and quality systems in a semiconductor environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in Singapore and adapt to evolving manufacturing priorities.
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for mentoring others.
