Job description

NorthStar Mentoring Institute is seeking an experienced Mentor Coach to lead and scale our professional mentoring programs. This role blends hands-on coaching, program design, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable outcomes for mentees and organizations.

As a Mentor Coach, you will design mentoring curricula, train and empower mentors, facilitate impactful coaching sessions, and partner with HR and L&D to ensure programs align with business goals and DEI principles. You will own the end-to-end mentor lifecycle, monitor program health, and report on outcomes to senior leadership. Responsibility

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the mentoring program for professionals across functions.
  • Recruit, screen, train, and onboard mentors; establish guidelines for effective mentoring relationships.
  • Develop curricula, coaching frameworks, and resource materials; standardize coaching practices and measurement tools.
  • Facilitate group mentoring sessions, one-on-one coaching, and peer-to-peer learning cohorts.
  • Track program metrics (engagement, retention, satisfaction, career impact) and generate actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with HR, L&D, and leadership to align mentoring initiatives with business goals and DEI principles.
  • Manage budgets, partnerships, and stakeholder communications; own the mentor lifecycle from onboarding to alumni engagement.
  • Coach and mentor internal program teams to scale operations and foster a culture of continuous development.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred in Education, Psychology, HR, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mentoring, coaching, talent development, or learning programs.
  • Proven track record designing and leading mentoring programs that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and listening skills; excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Certification in coaching (e.g., ICF) or mentoring; training and curriculum development expertise.
  • Experience with LMS, e-learning, and data analytics to measure impact and ROI.
  • Project management and stakeholder management with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives and remote teams.
