Global Hire Career is actively seeking an experienced MEP Manager to lead the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for high‑profile data center projects in Johor Bahru. Key responsibilities include design coordination, supervision of installation and commissioning, and rigorous site verification of all MEP systems. Responsibility
- Lead end‑to‑end MEP management for data center projects from design through commissioning and handover.
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for all MEP works.
- Coordinate design reviews and interface management between mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.
- Oversee procurement, subcontractor performance, site installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, standards (e.g., NFPA, ASHRAE), and data center best practices; enforce safety and quality programs.
- Lead risk management, QA/QC, and value engineering to optimize performance and lifecycle costs.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; professional registration preferred (PE/Chartered).
- 10+ years of experience in MEP delivery, with demonstrable data center project involvement.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with excellent communication in English; Malay language is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management tools, scheduling software, and MEP design coordination processes.
- Solid knowledge of local regulations, international standards (NFPA, IEC/IEEE), and commissioning procedures.
- Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple suppliers, and deliver on time and within budget.
