Join a global leader in construction as an MEP Site Engineer (QC | Drafter) for a high-profile Data Center project in Cikarang, West Java. This contract role with China Construction Yangtze River Indonesia offers the opportunity to contribute to critical data center infrastructure, including mechanical and electrical systems, fire protection, electrical distribution, and BIM-based coordination. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to drive installation quality, ensure compliance with design intent, and support drafting and documentation activities throughout construction.
As an MEP Site Engineer, you will coordinate closely with project management, site supervision, subcontractors, and procurement to maintain schedule, safety, and quality. The position emphasizes on-site oversight, drawing reviews, RFIs, change orders, and coordination with IT and facilities teams to ensure seamless data center functionality from room to room. Responsibility
- Provide on-site MEP supervision (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) for a data center construction site, ensuring work meets design, codes, and project specifications.
- Lead QC activities, inspect workmanship, materials, and commissioning readiness; manage non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Review and resolve shop drawings, as-built drawings, RFI responses, and change orders in collaboration with engineers and project managers.
- Coordinate MEP installations with Civil, Structural, IT/Datacenter teams, and subcontractors to achieve clash-free execution.
- Monitor safety practices, site housekeeping, and permit-to-work processes; uphold site QA/QC procedures and documentation.
- Prepare daily progress reports, monitor schedule milestones, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for MEP trades.
- Support drafting activities using AutoCAD and Revit; ensure accurate reflect of field changes in drawings and BIM models.
- Assist with testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning support to ensure systems operate as designed.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in MEP site supervision, QC, or drafting on data center or large-scale construction projects.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with BIM coordination and MEP drawing standards.
- Solid knowledge of local codes, safety regulations, QA/QC procedures, and commissioning processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities; able to work cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; willingness to work on a contractual basis in Indonesia and to travel or relocate to Cikarang as needed.
