Responsibility
- Deliver engaging English language and literature instruction to middle and high school students, building strong reading, writing, speaking, and thinking skills.
- Design and implement rigorous, inquiry-based units aligned to international standards; connect learning to real-world contexts.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs, including English learners and students with diverse abilities.
- Assess student learning using a variety of formative and summative methods; provide timely, actionable feedback to students and families.
- Collaborate with the English department and cross-disciplinary teams to plan cohesive curricula and cross-curricular projects.
- Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance instruction and track learning outcomes (LMS, collaborative platforms, and assessment analytics).
- Foster an inclusion classroom culture that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and global citizenship.
- Engage with families and guardians through regular communication, conferences, and student showcases.
Qualification
- Bachelorâs degree in English, Literature, Education, or a closely related field; teaching credential or license is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of full-time teaching experience in middle and/or high school English Language & Literature; international school experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of literary analysis, writing pedagogy, grammar, and reading strategies.
- Experience designing and implementing inquiry-based, standards-aligned curricula with an ability to differentiate instruction.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Proficiency with education technology and data-driven instruction; comfortable using LMS and assessment analytics.
