Job description
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM), Certified Midwife (CM), or Licensed Direct-Entry Midwife (LDEM) to join our dynamic team at a leading birth center in Austin, TX. You will provide evidence-based prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, build trusting relationships with families, and support natural childbirth journeys.

Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to pregnant individuals and their families
- Perform safe deliveries in collaboration with obstetricians, nurses, and support staff
- Conduct routine and specialized assessments, screen for risk factors, and develop individualized birth plans
- Offer evidence-based counseling on pain management, lactation, nutrition, and newborn care
- Support family-centered care, informed decision-making, and cultural humility
- Maintain meticulous electronic medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Provide emergency preparedness, participate in drills, and coordinate transfers when necessary
Qualification
- Current license/certification as CNM/CM/LDEM in Texas or eligible for licensure
- Minimum 3-5 years of midwifery experience preferred; strong new-graduate support program available
- Board certification or eligibility by a recognized midwifery board
- Excellent communication, teaching, and counseling skills with diverse populations
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in emergency/acute care management and neonatal resuscitation
- Strong commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care
- Current BLS/ACLS certification; knowledge of birth center protocols
