We are seeking a licensed midwife to join a compassionate, evidence‑based practice in Portland, Oregon. You will provide comprehensive perinatal care, attend births, and support families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. This role emphasizes collaborative obstetric care, patient education, and culturally sensitive practice.

Responsibility
- Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care in accordance with current guidelines and patient preferences.
- Attend and assist births as primary caregiver when appropriate; monitor labor progress and intervene when medically indicated.
- Develop individualized birth plans, educate families on options and informed consent, and promote informed decision making.
- Coordinate care with obstetricians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Perform routine midwifery assessments, screen for complications, and refer to specialists as needed.
- Support lactation and breastfeeding initiation; provide postnatal follow-up and family planning counseling.
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation, billing records, and compliance with licensing requirements.
Qualification
- Current state licensure as a midwife (CNM/CM or CPM) and eligibility for Oregon practice; valid BLS/CPR certification.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical midwifery experience in a hospital, birth center, or community setting.
- Strong knowledge of evidence‑based obstetric practices and fetal monitoring techniques.
- Excellent communication and cultural competency with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and manage high‑stress situations calmly.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and preventive care planning.
- Commitment to patient‑centered care, informed consent, and ethical practice.
