Join our leading perinatal health team as a Certified Midwife. Provide comprehensive care from pregnancy through postpartum, collaborating with obstetricians, nurses, and family physicians in Seattle. We value evidence-based practice, compassionate care, and a patient-centered approach.
As a member of our team, you will help families navigate birth planning, pain management options, lactation support, and newborn care within a supportive, modern clinical environment.
Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care with evidence-based practices and individualized care plans.
- Perform risk assessments, screenings, and ongoing health education for expectant families.
- Lead or support labor and birth for low-risk pregnancies, including informed decision-making and collaboration with the obstetric team.
- Develop and discuss birth plans, pain management options, and postpartum recovery strategies with patients and families.
- Conduct newborn assessments, initiate lactation support, and ensure early bonding and feeding success.
- Document care thoroughly in our electronic medical records system and coordinate with the care team to optimize outcomes.
- Provide culturally competent care, advocacy, and resources to diverse patient populations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety activities, and continuous professional development.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Nursing- Midwifery or equivalent and current CNM or LM license to practice in Washington state; board-certified (e.g., ACOG CNM).
- Active state license as CNM or LM with current BLS and NRP certification; ACLS preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on midwifery experience in perinatal care; strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills; ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records, documentation standards, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, participate in on-call rotations, and adapt to evolving care needs.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
