We are looking for a skilled Midwife with a passion for family-centered care, excellent communication, and a commitment to patient safety.
In this full-time role you will provide ante-natal, intra-partum, and post-natal care, collaborate with obstetricians and paediatric teams, and support families through pregnancy, birth, and early parenting.
Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive midwifery care across ante-natal, intrapartum, and post-natal phases to diverse birthing families.
- Lead and participate in birth planning, risk assessment, and shared decision making with patients and families.
- Perform routine examinations, monitor fetal wellbeing, and respond to emergencies with clinical judgment.
- Support lactation, newborn assessment, and early parenting education.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, paediatricians, and allied health professionals to optimize outcomes.
- Maintain meticulous clinical documentation in electronic health records and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Provide evidence-based education and emotional support to pregnant people and families.
Qualification
- Registered Midwife with NMC registration and eligibility to work in the UK.
- Bachelor's degree in Midwifery or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of midwifery experience in hospital or community settings.
- Strong knowledge of UK maternity guidelines, risk assessment, and obstetric emergencies.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and culturally sensitive care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team; flexible to shift patterns.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
