As a registered midwife, you will support antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, lead birth planning conversations, and coordinate care with obstetricians, doulas, and allied health professionals.

Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive midwifery care across pregnancy, birth, and postnatal periods.
- Lead birth planning discussions and support informed decision-making with families.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using evidence-based assessment tools.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Educate and empower families with evidence-based information on options, risks, and care plans.
- Support early lactation and postpartum recovery, including newborn assessment.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and ensure compliance with safety and privacy standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development.
Qualification
- Registered Midwife with AHPRA registration or equivalent in the region.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
- Proficiency in fetal monitoring, emergency obstetric skills, and newborn assessments.
- Strong communication, cultural competence, and patient advocacy.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuing professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Current valid registration and right to work in Australia.
