Responsibility

  • Provide evidence-based midwifery care across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.
  • Support labor and birth, including pain management options, fetal monitoring, and emergency response when needed.
  • Develop individualized birth plans and informed consent processes in partnership with clients and families.
  • Provide antenatal education classes and postpartum check-ins, promoting breastfeeding and newborn care.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatal nurses, and other health professionals to coordinate care.

Qualification

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Midwife or eligibility to apply.
